The Caterham Vintage and Art Fair

This Saturday we ventured to pastures new by attending this new event.  It was lovely to meet Anita who's worked so hard organising her first fair, with a good mix or both arty/crafty and vintage stallholders.

I was busy covering diaries last week (early I know but they're already in the shops!) and did indeed sell some.

Here are a few more pics of my stall

Some of the other stalls

These last three pics are of the local RSPCA stall - they had so many wonderful vintage bits all beautifully displayed.  I couldn't resist and bought some fabric and a truly fabulous patchwork quilt (seen hanging on the end of the rail, all ready and waiting with my name on it!).

On hearing their charity shop was only just around the corner we whizzed out quickly before the fair started.  I was thrilled to find this absolutely gorgeous donkey picure, she looks so pretty and kitsch and is all hand embroidered.

A grand day out in Brighton

On Sunday we were at Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair at Brighton Racecourse.  Despite the rather rainy forecast there turned out to be lots of sunny spells too, just what's needed when you're near the seaside.

We had a great pitch and met lots of lovely people. Didn't have time to take many pics (probably because we were side tracked by a nearby bootfair which of course we had to have a quick whizz around before the fair started - sadly no treasures to be found!).

Today seemed to be a bag day - good thing we took lots. Cards and notebooks were popular too.

Next Saturday, 17th Sept, we're attending a new event - The Caterham Vintage and Art Fair. I'm looking forward to meeting Anita who's worked really hard organising and promoting the event. Here's the link for more details Mrs Antil's Apartment.

A fab day at Kitsch & Stitch

On Saturday I had a stall at the Kitsch & Stitch fair in Cranbrook which I have been looking forward to for ages and Lois came with me to help.

With lots of wonderful stalls, loads of friendly people attending and gorgeous cakes and tea supplied by the lovely ladies from the Hospice in the Weald it was a really fabulous day - a must for lovers of handmade or vintage.

Here are a few photos.

Many thanks to Linda and Debs for organising such a wonderful day - can't wait til the next one.  So a date for your diaries - Saturday 3rd December, same time, same place.

I am now busy getting ready for Judy's Vintage Fair at Brighton Racecourse on Sunday 11th Sept (see my 'where to find me' page) This will be more vintage than handmade, I've lots of lovely vintage bags, suitcases, homewares, jewellery and bits and pieces to take.
It would be great to see you there.
