It's been some time since my last post ...

So here is some news about my recent events:

On Saturday (10th Dec) we went to Whitstable for the first time to the Past and Present Fair.  A lovely cold and frosty day, just right for Christmas shopping.  We met Kerry who organised the fair in a beautifully decorated hall and had a great day.  Sorry, no pics.

The week before (3rd Dec) was the third Kitsch & Stitch Fair in Cranbook - a truly fantastic day, as always, with lots of visitors and lovely stalls.  Many thanks to Linda and Debs for organising such a great event.  Fortunately, Lois was on hand to take some pics:

On 5th November Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair came to Maidstone for the first time, our stall was in a great place near the tea room and we had a fabulous day, loads of visitors and we enjoyed the songs by The Three Belles, a 40s style singing trio:

Lastly, on 19th Nov, we were just down the road at the Judd School Christmas fair - the best school fair I know - well attended with lots to do and some great stalls (this was much to the embarrassment of my 12 year old son who's just started there!)

So if I don't get around to another post I'd like to wish everyone a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas and New Year.

The Caterham Vintage and Art Fair

This Saturday we ventured to pastures new by attending this new event.  It was lovely to meet Anita who's worked so hard organising her first fair, with a good mix or both arty/crafty and vintage stallholders.

I was busy covering diaries last week (early I know but they're already in the shops!) and did indeed sell some.

New diaries

Here are a few more pics of my stall

Some of the other stalls

These last three pics are of the local RSPCA stall - they had so many wonderful vintage bits all beautifully displayed.  I couldn't resist and bought some fabric and a truly fabulous patchwork quilt (seen hanging on the end of the rail, all ready and waiting with my name on it!).

On hearing their charity shop was only just around the corner we whizzed out quickly before the fair started.  I was thrilled to find this absolutely gorgeous donkey picure, she looks so pretty and kitsch and is all hand embroidered.

A grand day out in Brighton

On Sunday we were at Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair at Brighton Racecourse.  Despite the rather rainy forecast there turned out to be lots of sunny spells too, just what's needed when you're near the seaside.

We had a great pitch and met lots of lovely people. Didn't have time to take many pics (probably because we were side tracked by a nearby bootfair which of course we had to have a quick whizz around before the fair started - sadly no treasures to be found!).

Today seemed to be a bag day - good thing we took lots. Cards and notebooks were popular too.

Next Saturday, 17th Sept, we're attending a new event - The Caterham Vintage and Art Fair. I'm looking forward to meeting Anita who's worked really hard organising and promoting the event. Here's the link for more details Mrs Antil's Apartment.

A fab day at Kitsch & Stitch

On Saturday I had a stall at the Kitsch & Stitch fair in Cranbrook which I have been looking forward to for ages and Lois came with me to help.

With lots of wonderful stalls, loads of friendly people attending and gorgeous cakes and tea supplied by the lovely ladies from the Hospice in the Weald it was a really fabulous day - a must for lovers of handmade or vintage.

Here are a few photos.

Many thanks to Linda and Debs for organising such a wonderful day - can't wait til the next one.  So a date for your diaries - Saturday 3rd December, same time, same place.

I am now busy getting ready for Judy's Vintage Fair at Brighton Racecourse on Sunday 11th Sept (see my 'where to find me' page) This will be more vintage than handmade, I've lots of lovely vintage bags, suitcases, homewares, jewellery and bits and pieces to take.
It would be great to see you there.

Bonjour

We are back from camping in the beautiful Vendee region of France.  The campsite was great with lots to do, the countryside was pretty and rustic - just how you imagine it to be.  The weather was changable! At least we had a few days of gorgeous sunshine.

I even managed a trip to a brocante and found a few interesting pieces, including a lovely vintage vanity case.

I don't know where the summer holidays go, less than two weeks and we'll be in September - a very busy month for me!

At last - my first post!

Finally my blog is sorted and I have taken some photos.  Happy from Happy Loves Rosie designed this lovely blog for me  http://www.happylovesrosie.com/  - thank you so much Happy - I love it.

I was inspired to get started by Deborah and Linda of Kitsch & Stitch Vintage and Makers' Fair fame.  The first fair was in May in Cranbrook and besides their own blogs they created one promoting the event and stallholders (of which I was one).  The fair was a huge success - one of the best I've done, so thanks Debs and Linda, not only for your hard work but also for your inspiration.  The next Kitsch & Stitch is on 3rd September:

So now, complete with new camera, I can start snapping.  We went to Penshurst Place today, the gardens are just gorgeous at the moment and perfect for piccy practice!

So off now to find some more pretty things to snap.
